Meet the Team

Post-Doctoral Researchers

Katarzyna Młodzikowska-Pienko

Post-Doctoral Researcher

Kasia obtained her Ph.D. degree from the University of Warsaw (Poland) working with Bartosz. Trzaskowski. As a recipient of the prestigious Azrieli Fellowship, she joined the group of Prof. Renana Poranne at the Technion where she works in collaboration with Prof. Graham de Ruiter on Computational Organometallic Chemistry.

Raje Sakthi

Post-Doctoral Researcher

Raje obtained his Ph.D. degree from IIT Kanpur in 2019 working with Prof. Raja Angamuthu. After a short post-doctoral stay with Prof. Lee Cronin, he moved to the Technion to work with Prof. Graham de Ruiter on developing robust bismuth catalysts in organic synthesis.

Graduate Students

Kartick Dey

2nd Year Graduate Student

Kartick obtained his M.Sc. Degree from IIT Dhanbad in 2018. After a short stay with Prof. Swadhin Mandal at IISER Kolkata, he joined the Schulich Faculty of Chemistry in September 2020. He current works on the earth-abundant metal catalyzed reduction of carbon dioxide

Tofayel MD

2nd Year Graduate Student

Tofayel received his M.Sc. degree in 2020 from IIT Kharagpur (India). He moved to the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology in February 2021 to start his Ph.D. studies with Prof. Graham de Ruiter. His current research focusses on developing cobalt catalyzed alkene isomerization processes.

Rohit Kamte

1st Year Graduate Student

Rohit obtained his M.Sc. degree from IISER Mohali in 2019. After a delay of almost two years because of the COVID-19 pandemic he was finally able to join the Schulich Faculty of Chemistry as a Ph.D. student in September 2021. His research involves exploring the rich chemistry of manganese in organic synthesis.

Jatin Panda

1st Year Graduate Student

Jatin received his M.Sc. degree in 2021 working with Prof. Joyanta Choudhury at IISER Bhopal. His research interest include iron catalyzed C-H activation and cross-coupling, which he is currently pursuing at the Schulich Faculty of Chemistry in the group of Prof. Graham de Ruiter
