Sunday June 25th 2023 | In the last week of lessons, we will discuss the MO diagram of cyclopropane, we will learn how to deal with atomic s- and p-orbitals that are not at the center of the molecular. We will learn how to establish the coordinate system for orbitals that are not spherically symmetric (e.g., p-orbitals) and how to construct their symmetry adapted linear combinations. With all the SALCS in-hand we can discover how the MO-diagram of a simple molecule can be generate by using simple methodology
